Looking forward to summaries and recaps. Let’s hear it folks, how did it unfold?
Again, I wasn’t in attendance, and will be happy to post summaries from anyone who happened to catch the game.
Missed the game, but would love to post a summary from someone who was in attendance. Please email me ( jeff @ norcofootball.net ) if you have a quick summary of the game.
Food for thought for Norco players, parents, and fans:
The Press Enterprise has posted their preseason poll, with Norco #2 behind Santiago in the ‘Large Schools’
Of course, in their Mountain View League preview, they predicted that Norco would finish third in league, behind both Santiago and Corona Centennial
Consistency? What’s that?
Norco seniors Adam Tello (OL, prospect #44), Jordan Campbell (LB, prospect #65), and Garth Gerhart (OL, prospect #79) appear once again on Scout.com’s Class of 2007 California Top 100 Prospects.
Tello and Gerhart form an imposing combination
The Press Enterprise has a story on returning Norco linemen Adam Tello and Garth Gerhart.
With 6-foot-2, 300-pound center Garth Gerhart and 6-4, 290-pound guard Adam Tello playing next to each other on the Norco High offensive line, Cougars coach Todd Gerhart quips that he can call quarterback sneaks that will gain 4 or 5 yards.
Gerhart and Tello are going a lot farther than the next first-down marker. The two Norco seniors have said they will attend Colorado on football scholarships.
They are two standouts in an outstanding crop of offensive linemen across the Inland area this year, said Corona Centennial coach Matt Logan.
“Garth is a road grader,” said Logan. “He’s a big, tough, physical kid. Tello is an athlete in a big man’s body.”

Congratulations to both players for their accomplishments and the Buffaloes for two great picks.
Norco High center Garth Gerhart said Tuesday he will attend the University of Colorado on a football scholarship.
“I went up there (last week) on an unofficial visit,” he said. “I liked the coaches … (new head coach) Dan Hawkins is real cool. … I liked the players. I always liked Colorado the state.”
